Automated generation of digital twin for low-dew-point air conditioning systems

A framework that generates a dynamic digital twin of an HVAC system from a declarative topology specification, which can be drafted from a natural-language description, is presented. The platform compiles the specification into a model using a physical component library, automatically synthesizing wiring, solvers, and telemetry. This simplifies creation and calibration of models for operating-point optimization in battery manufacturing.

Automated generation of experimentally validated digital twins for desiccant-based low-dew-point air-conditioning systems from declarative topology specifications
Researchers applied a hybrid discrete-event and agent-based simulation to analyze the transition to circular economy in healthcare supply chains. Using laparoscopic scissors as a case study, they assessed the impact of introducing reusable products on individual supply chain members and the entire system. The work accounts for uncertainties in flows and actor behavior, which was not done before.
Function+Data Flow (FDF), a visual domain-specific language for specifying and validating AI/ML pipelines used in building real-time digital twins, is presented. Implemented in DesCartes Builder, it enables composition and reuse of models. An empirical study found FDF makes AI-based twin development more accessible and reliable.
A hybrid architecture combining a trained Soft Actor-Critic (SAC) policy and linear MPC is presented for vehicle steering control. Using the first-step optimum of MPC as an anchor and a monotone blending coefficient allows combining the adaptability of learning with MPC's safety guarantees.
