A digital twin-based IDS models physical relationships among powertrain signals and detects attacks via residuals between predicted and observed behavior. A shared-encoder LSTM was trained on real Hyundai/Kia CAN logs with 17 signals to predict seven numeric and two categorical gear signals over a 24-step window.
